Villas-Boas optimistic Torres could end the crisis and break his goal against Manchester United. Since imported from Liverpool, Torres has not shown the best performance and trouble scoring.
Even so, he still won the trust of the club and coach. Villas-Boas believes that the Spanish striker will bounce back because there has been a positive influence for Chelsea. He is even optimistic Torres will be United's goalkeeper. "Fernando has so far had a positive impact on the team. He has yet to score a lot but it plays a major role in facilitating his partner to create opportunities and make the goal," he said in the media.
"He just needs to be better adapted to his teammate. I'm sure he could do it, and it will start when we deal with United. If he had scored, then it will be the trigger to make the goal even more." Chelsea and United will face each other on Sunday (5/2) at Stamford Bridge. In previous games at Old Trafford, they lost 3-1 and Torres scored the only goal of the Blues in those games.
