Though frustrated, Kuyt happy to be his first trophy with Liverpool. Since the arrival of several new players such as Luis Suarez, Andy Carroll, Jordan Henderson and Stewart Downing, Kuyt rarely get the chance to play as a starter. Dutchman is more often as a substitute. But it does not diminish its quality as a world class player.
Kuyt is a substitute when Liverpool face Cardiff in the Carling Cup final, it plays a major role to bring his team won the trophy, scoring one goal each in extra time and penalties. "It's not easy to sit on the bench. I'm the type of player who likes to passed down in a lot of games and physical matter is not so big problem for me.
