Liveprool successfully won the League Cup with injury brought victimizing their central defender, Daniel Agger. Agger not yet know how long it should be absent. In the final match at Wembley, Agger played for 86 minutes before being replaced by Jamie Carragher.
He pulled out by Kenny Dalglish after a few moments before engaging duel with one of the Cardiff City player and had a long lay on the ground. After the match it was found that if Agger having problems in his ribs and he will soon undergo a scan on arrival at the Melwood training ground, to determine the extent of the injury.
"I think Daniel's ribs was broken," said Dalglish in the team's official site. Agger injury is the second time this season and earned the same as the beginning of the season, he should be absent for a long time about 1-2 months. The disappearance of Denmark defender was certainly a loss to Liverpool as Agger is a mainstay of the line behind the Reds with Martin Skrtel. He has scored one goal from 25 appearances this season.
