Roberto Mancini: Robin Van Persie Will Survive At Arsenal

Roberto Mancini admitted he was keen to bring in Robin Van Persie, but he did not think it will happen. Manchester City coach Roberto Mancini assess Arsenal striker Robin van Persie will not be leaving the club.

Mancini admitted he was keen to bring the Dutch striker, after the previous City successfully attracted four players from Arsenal in the last three years is Samir Nasri, Gael Clichy, Kolo Toure and Emmanuel Adebayor. "If she does leave I do not think the price will be cheap because he still has one year on his contract," said Mancini.

"For example, if you want to buy Edinson Cavani of Napoli he may be around £ 30 million." "I think Van Persie will sign a new contract. He is Arsenal's best players and it is difficult for them to give it to another club." "If there are good players who want to leave the club, then we would be interested." "I think he's a fantastic striker but I think he will stay at Arsenal."
