Wojciech Szczesny glad to see Tottenham Hotspur competing in the Europa League next season. AC Milan Arsenal almost get rid of the last 16 of Champions League on Tuesday (6/3) evening.
Perform in front of his own supporters, Arsenal capable of winning three goals before the break. Unfortunately they failed to add at least one goal to overturn a 4-0 aggregate advantage Milan picked in the first game. This failure does not make the squad Arsenal discouraged. In fact, according to Wojciech Szczesny goalkeeper, Arsenal look to be a warning to their rivals in the Premier League.
"We give a message to all the teams in the Premier League if we look at the best level, anyone in Europe can beat us," said the Polish goalkeeper told Sky Sports. "This win gives us great confidence. Yes, we are sorry that this is not enough and we were knocked out of Champions League, but a lot more positives from this result." Szczesny then claimed the fourth position occupied by Arsenal now felt not enough.
"I do not want so to be ranked fourth. We just four points behind the other North London club [Tottenham Hotspur] and hopefully we can compete," he continued. "Hopefully Chelsea can also compete with them in getting the fourth position. I am glad to see Tottenham competing in the Europa League next season."
