Cons Swansea City draw farther and farther behind Chelsea from Tottenham Hotspur. However, Andre Villas-Boas believes his side can catch the Lilywhites. Chelsea almost lost when facing the host Swansea at the Liberty Stadium on Wednesday (02/01/2012) pm dawn. They were saved by Neil Taylor's own goal in injury time.
Because of just picking a 1-1 draw, the Blues who inhabit ranked fourth behind standings farther from Spurs who are above them. Spurs are now seven points ahead after dawn they had a 3-1 win over Wigan Athletic. With 15 games remaining, Villas-Boas would not give up. He sure can cut the distance of seven points with Spurs.
"The distance was increased, but a few weeks ago, is reduced. The distance of seven points meant nothing in this league," says Villas-Boas on the official club website. "Tottenham is still there in our range and let's see what we can do," he said. Villas-Boas explained that currently the main target of the club is to qualify for the Champions League. Problem won the league, he did not want to discuss it.
"We have made no sense to talk about winning the league. We're competing for the Champions League and that is our main target," he explained. "To rise to the first rank will be very difficult. We will face United in this weekend and let's see after the match that we could do," added the Portuguese man.
