DATA & STATISTICS: Expenditure Premier League Clubs Down 70 Percent

The amount of funds that rotates in the winter transfer market Premier League turns down sharply compared to last season. Premier League clubs was spend shopping for a player who was last year in the transfer market this winter.

From the data released by Deloitte, Thursday (2 / 2), the amount of money spent only 60 million pounds. The amount is down 70 percent from the amount of money circulating in the winter transfer market last year, where turnover reached 225 million pounds.

"After last year where there is a large transfer of a record transfer fee of 225 million pounds, in January 2012 seemed more calm in terms of players spending between Premier League clubs," said Dan Jones, an analyst at Deloitte. "60 million pounds spent in the month of January 2012 just as the players spending in 2004 to 2007, and still the most widely compared besra clubs in other European competitions," he continued. Big clubs seem to want to cut their spending to adjust myself to the policy adopted Financial UEFA Fair Play.
