Arsenal reinforce the Third Position

Aston Villa had lamented that the referee did not give a penalty when Johan Djourou touch the ball with his hands. Arsenal began to strengthen its position in third place thanks to a home win over Aston Villa.

Kieran Gibbs scored first arsenal in the 16th minute. Nine minutes later Theo Walcott to increase the advantage. Mikel Arteta take advantage of last chance in injury time a third goal.

Arsenal is now ranked third with 58 points, or three ahead of Tottenham - a few hours before playing a goalless draw with Chelsea. This is the seventh successive victory for Arsenal. For Aston Villa, a whopping ten this season makes it increasingly difficult to go up to the middle board.
