Manchester City won but did not qualify

Manchester City comeback with three goals in the second half was not enough to ensure tickets Europa League quarter-final. Sporting more right pitch thanks to away goals aggregate.



Manchester City trail local rivals, Manchester United, who knocked out of the Europa League. Citizens are recovered from 2-0 in the first half to turn the final result 3-2. Unfortunately, Sporting still partying in the City of Manchester, thanks to away goals aggregate win.

However, the City is not able to score additional goals to ensure victory on aggregate and should be eliminated from the Europa League.
