Martin Jol: All Underestimating Pavel Pogrebnyak

Martin Jol judge Pavel Pogrebnyak is not desirable because it has a poor record at his previous club. Fulham coach Martin Jol was delighted his team recruited striker Pavel Pogrebnyak as other clubs do not pay attention to him. As you know, Pogrebnyak recorded a sensational performance by scoring five goals in his first three games with Fulham.

When asked why there are no other clubs that want to recruit Pogrebnyak from Stuttgart, Jol said: "It's very easy. Because he scored one goal in 18 games and he does not always play." "In England you want the best and maybe they think he's not good for their team or have another target." "He was in my target list of the last few years and I know he is the type of player who fits with us and we were fortunate to recruit him."

"You should see quality players that do not play well in a period." "Yakubu Aiyegbeni same time strengthens Everton and Blackburn also sign him cheaply, but he has now scored 13 or 14 goals." "You need a bit of luck but you should be confident with their abilities. That is what Blackburn and we did."
