Di Matteo stated there are no problems associated with the player, although Meireles is known not to celebrate a goal and a victory over Birmingham City in the FA Cup last week.
"Meireles has a wonderful character with a fantastic personality," said Di Matteo as reported by Tribal Football. "I've done a good conversation with him. He is a very reliable partner. I feel happy with a magnificent goal which he printed (in the face of Birmingham)."
