This victory makes the Blues cut the difference in the score with Tottenham, the difference in number three. But this is not an easy victory, because Villa had equalized 2-2.
Fernando Torres became the happiest person at the end of the game. He ended a six-month goal drought in the Premier League, with a shot along the ground which failed to prevent goalkeeper Shay Given.
