Sotirios Kyrgiakos became the second player brought in Sunderland in the winter transfer window deadline. After ensuring the transfer of Wayne Bridge, Sunderland back line adds strength to bring in defender Sotirios Kyrgiakos on loan from VfL Wolfsburg.
Kyrgiakos difficulty in obtaining a place in Wolfsburg and never mentioned the factor of communication as one of the obstacles it faces in the German club. Move to Sunderland is a second chance to play in the Premier League for the former Liverpool defender's 32-year-old.
"Sotirios provide physical strength, combined with experience, and ensure benefits for our team within a few months ahead," said manager Martin O'Neill explains the choice. "I am pleased to welcome him at this club and I am sure he is also happy to take part again in the Premier League."
